I see alot on this forum about fighters using Steroids and other PED's. In what way do they help a fighter? Do they make them stronger/hit harder/more power etc?
They would increase strength certainly and strength is one part of the formula to increase power, thats simple physics. They would also help with the strength needed for the rough n tumble of the bout, holding pushing etc. They are also useful for holding onto more muscle whilst dieting. Other PEDs are used to increase stamina, endurance, ability to keep focused az well as an increase in agression
"In professional sport, most organisations ban anabolic steroid use and test competitors for banned steroids." They sure haven't heard about boxing!
Take some Halotestin and come back to me and tell me it doesn't increase your aggression. Don't talk about things you are not informed about.
It's a typo, shoulda read "In professional sport, most organisations pretend to ban anabolic steroid use and pretend to test competitors for banned steroids."
No but wtf has that got to do with anything? I haven't smoked either but I understand from reliable sources it's bad for your health.. :hey
Steroids can slightly amplify your emotions, that's all they do to your behaviour. Studies have shown to vary greatly in individuals in relation to aggression as some people just don't feel much agression to begin with, but it doesn't suit the media or NHS agenda to note that also can also increase good emotions. 'Roid rage' is a complete myth, as is 99% of what the general public know about steroids. I've never met anyone who's suffered from it and I myself have never felt a single bit of aggression.
