Graham could certainly outbox and frustrate Golovkin and possibly eke out a decision. Golovkin's no Julian Jackson in terms of one punch knockout power, the question would be could he land enough on the elusive Graham to wear him down and take him out late, I'm not sure he could. I'll just go with Graham here,
Oh yee of Little Faith in GGG. Feast your eyes on Golovkin cause he is one of the best MWs we have seen in many decades...What can't he do ? He is strong, can hit with punishing force to the body, can arc his punches to his opponents unprotected head, has a really great left jab that can break noses, has great balance at all times, and in over 330 amateur and pro fights has NEVER been dropped. A helluva recipe for a great fighter. Oh you ask, "who did GGG ever fight that was tops" ?.I say he dominated everyone he has fought and all any fighter can do is beat whoever is available in his weight division..I saw most of the top MWs of the 1940s and 1950s and they were great and IMO GGG belongs with them all...Enjoy him while you can, cause his like don't come around too often...
Has weaknesses you say ? Maybe your correct in the sense he only breaks down every opponent he faced rather then send them to the hospital ! I suppose that is a weakness.
I could see Herol frustrating GGG for the first 4 or 5 rounds with his movement. But, as soon as Golovkin gets his timingnand control of the distance down, cuts the ring off and starts moving Herol to the corners and to the ropes, GGG would ruthlessly pull the trigger, and it would all be over. Gennady Golovkin KO's Herol Graham in round 7.
7 is too early, it would take longer for herol to make a mistake. believe me, it would be down to herols timing going wrong, not 3Gs timing going right (he'd get it right earlier than 7, but herol wouldn't get it wrong till the double figure rounds).
Graham outboxes GGG for the first few rounds (though not as easily as he was Jackson), then GGG KOs him around round 5-7.
Graham makes him look stupid at first but Golovkin would catch him at some point mid-late rounds, maybe a little earlier. Graham loved to hang his chin out for some reason and that spells disaster with a capital D against a puncher like Golovkin, as he found out with Jackson.
Graham would do well making GGG miss like he does but GGG is a better boxer than jackson and like kalamby would catch up with him late a stop him.
