He didn't fight everybody like you wrote. He fought everyone that would make him big money. When you truly look at the guys he faced and the guys he didn't you will see that he was the originator of the Mayweather fight big name blueprint.

He started fighting once a year in his later years and held on to that WBC belt without ever defending it against a mandatory either. ODLH did all the same **** these fanboys cry about Mayweather ,Pacquiao and Canelo are doing.:-(

Ok, but could he have a picked a worse time to fight a lot of the guys he did fight?

Unless you want to tell me that Mosley, Hopkins, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Trinidad, Vargas, Sturm, Gatti, were all just a bunch of has been scrubs.

He did fight everybody and never backed down. I think he's a legend. I don't know why people hate on him when he was a complete boss.

Only people that really hate on him is the flow mos ..They can't stand the fact that Oscar gets more respect ..Lets remove Gatti's name from Oscar lists as that fight was a throw away fight for him and didn't mean anything like it did to Floyd and insert Pernell Whitaker ,Fernando Vargas and Julio Cesar Chavez ....Only people missing were Winky Wright who priced himself out and Vernon Forrest ..Which I don't know why Oscar did t fight him.

Yes because at the same points in their respective careers they only fought for money.
Oscar retired for a bit before he fought Vargas he waited for Trinidad to show him how first. Then after Hopkins fight when he was building GBP he only fought money fights. **** he fought Forbes at a 150 catchweight because he wanted to test out his body for that 147 drain for Pacquiao.

I would think he did it to try and cement his legacy, even if he didn't win every big fight he was in (and was gifted the win against Sturm). That he was getting paid truckloads of money to fight those guys is a byproduct of Oscar being a massive box office draw.

Several of those he fought are locks for Canastota: Jorge Paez, Julio Cesar Chavez, Pernell Whitaker, Felix Trinidad and Arturo Gatti are already hall of fame inductees.

How was Mayweather and Pacquiao money fights? Those were elite fighters in their primes. Oscar tried to beat them, but it didn't work out.

What's he supposed to do not fight them?

    WTF should he have done??

Derrell Coley for a vacant belt after a loss???
    Javier Castillejo???
    Patrick Charpentier???

He fought these guys in between all those big names you mentioned. Floyd fought Berto and everybody freaked out.

The Manny fight was strictly a money fight don't kid yourself and so was the Mayweather bout. Nothing wrong with it but it is what it is.

Ok, but besides Forrest who did he not fight?

Floyd catches hell because he fought Mosley, DLH and Pacquiao when they were has-beens.

He cheated Marquez on the scales. He blatantly ducked Williams and Martinez.

LMFAO, you think people critique Floyd for fighting Berto when all the above happened.

I don't hate Oscar but you guys are acting like he was just whipping ass all over the place. He has the best resume in boxing, but not because he was super brave, it was because Arum was his ****ing boss.:tong

    Let's not forget about cassameyor
    Kostya
    Margarito
    Prime pac
    Hatton at 140
    Like you said Williams
    Martinez
Then there's Bradley Thurman Kahn all better then the likes of berto Ortiz and 'the ghost'

A lot of the fights that didn't get made weren't floyds fault but if he truly wanted them like Oscar a lot of them would of been done
