Now this is a tricky one for me. As you may or may not be aware - there's very little in life that pleases me more than seeing a terrible chin being exposed. But I'm also a great defender of British fighters. However, something tells me Fury might be hiding glass. British glass is still stronger than any other glass of course, but it's still glass. His legs just don't look sturdy enough for his body - a bit like Wilder, though no quite that bad. What do the experts here have to say on this important matter? :think
hes never been unconcious. Ali was dropped by cooper and Frazier by buenovena. Basically being dropped does not = glass. Id say its good enough
It's not glass. He has a sturdy enough chin. Yes, he's been dropped but he's always beaten the count and come back to win. Plus, he has improved since the days he was purely overwhelming fighters face first.
Wlad who is an ATG puncher landed 2 big right hands one after the other flush on the chin in the 12th round when fury would have been at his most tired It had no effect I've addressed this issue before Fury has a great chin Catching a punch seems to revitalise him I've never seen anyone with such great recovery powers
Fury took some heavy enough shots from Wlad, and came back straight away. Muhammad Ali got dropped by Sonny Banks, Archie Moore and Sir Henry Cooper before he became heavyweight champion, yet nobody ever accuses Ali of being chinny.
Chins fine. Not many heavyweights dont hit the deck at some point. Most people hit hard enough to put a man down in this division. The worry is how long it takes to recover from it and he has been down and recovered quick enough. Problem is like i said most people hit hard enough to floor you and Fury doesnt seem that hard to hit.
That lunged left hook Wlad used to knock down and out Pulev? He landed it right on Fury's temple. Fury wasn't even impressed. I mean, Ali gets knoccked unconscious by a 185 lbs skinny fat bum, and he has an iron chin, but Tyson gets knocked down by someone as big as Ali but with a better body that Ali could ever dream of, and he's chinny? Come the **** on. Tyson wasn't even wobblying when he got up. He didn't need no trainer walking him to his corner and ripping open his gloves, nor reanimating salts. The fact is, his detractors like to dream about him having a weak chin, need to convince themself of that, so that they can at least hope that he has a weakness and that he'll be stopped. But it's just wishful thinking. If you want to laugh, open a pre fight Wlad-Tyson thread, any one, and see how they're choke full of people ****ing about how Wlad will annihilate Tyson with just one punch. He landed his best ones, without even hurting him. Tyson could have taken many more, and get down and get up. By the way, at the same time all those clowns are usually the same ones that pretend that glass hypejob Wilder hasn't been knoccked out by what looked like a cruiserweight with headgear on, or knocked down and hurt by complete cans. Usually the two groups are composed of the same people.
Whatever it is made of it is going to be broken in the rematch. bank on it. pull this up after the rematch. please.
It's underrated. People are acting like he'll fold up the second he gets hit clean which clearly isn't the case.
Fury's beard is certainly better than Wilder's. Wilder was badly rocked by Eric Molina, a man Wilder was a 1/50 favourite to beat.
