And people laughed at Ward-Smith :nut Quillin had never headlined before, the undercard sucked and the fight lasted some 90 seconds or so. The numbers were definitely going to increase but i doubt they would have hit the 1mil ballpark.
Have the Joshua vs Whyte numbers come out yet? There were same crazy sounding numbers being thrown around for that fight in the aftermath.
What's surprising is these numbers are slightly better than last April's Klitschko - Jennings Madison Square Gardner HW Championship fight viewer numbers, and it was shown free on ESPN. Not commanding numbers but considering what other so-called "elite PPV stars (Klitschko, Golovkin) are getting, not too embarrassing.
