So what? Eric Molina was kayoed in the first round against Arreola. Duhaupas was beaten by Pianeta, one of Klitschko's worst opponents. And I watched Jefferson against Izon, Jefferson was outboxing him and leading on the scorecards until he ran out of gas. He was still a dangerous opponent in the first couple rounds due to his punching power and yes, without a question he was a more dangerous opponent than the special ed teacher or the French factory worker guy.

Yeah, but Im not trying to defend Eric Molina and Duhaupas.

You ARE trying to defend Derrick Jefferson

Yes because you stated that he was on the level of those two part time boxers. Jefferson was ranked in the top 10 heavyweights in 1999 by Ring Magazine. Molina, Duhaupas were NOWHERE to close to that ranking in any year.

Im not exactly sure how Jefferson was EVER ranked that high.

His highlight win is a KO of Harris, who has been KO'd by pretty much every HW of the last 20 years.

And he certainly was not top 10 in ANY ranking body when he fought Wlad.

Being up on points before being taken out by David Izon isnt exactly a strong defence of a fighter

Duhaupas victory over Charr is probably better than anything Jefferson ever did..at least on a par

  14. Excellent Post! And the absolute truth.... but just add to that, even though the level of competition was about the same at this point Wlad was KO'd by journeymen like Purrity and Sanders.... I'd place Stiverne at the same level of Sanders and Duahapas the same level of Purrity yet Wilder passed with flying colors.

I remember when I was a teenager and the dundons lived down the road in Hackney then Wayne became the first irish person born in the UK to be banned from the country

    I haven't been back home in a good 7 or 8 years
