Harder chin: Hagler or Eubank?

How's this even a question? Would Hagler get dropped heavily by a single shot from Calzaghe? Eubank did have a superb chin but it wasn't on Hagler's level.

 

And this acts as the tiebreaker. Both chins solid as rock,though.

 

Duran was much smaller than Hearns. Could Hagler take a flush shot from Mike Spinks?

Anyway I pick Hagler over Eubank.

 

People are underestimating Chris's chin.

He went to CRUISERWEIGHT and never got stopped.

Hagler didn't even go to SMW!

Chris's chin is more proven p4p.

 

Immediately after Mike upset Holmes, the consensus in New England seemed to be that Hagler could do this, and there was briefly talk about the two of them going at it. Marv quickly put a stop to it with a comment about how his weight went right down when he undertook training.

 

Marv never had an issue making the MW limit, always felt he was better a couple pounds below 160, held the only undisputed championship in boxing, and in a marquee division at that, and had Monzon's all time title defense record at that weight to aim for.

I'm not about to criticize him for his consistency and discipline. He actually chased Obelmejias into the higher weights so Fully wouldn't have to deal with him again. (That's exactly what Obel said after MMH squashed him a second time. Good move on Fully's part, as he did become a champion at a higher weight.)

 

So? Neither did Eubank.

Toney had a better chin than Hagler, too.

Having an awesome chin at one weight is one thing. But having the same success at MULTIPLE weights is MUCH more impressive.

Chris & James have arguably the best chins ever.

 

Who did Chris fight at cruiserweight?

 

I have more respect for Durans chin than I do Haglers. A natural lightweight taking the best shots from a big hitting, physically huge middleweight is ridiculous.

Nah, Hearns was prancing about like Ali when he was tagging Hagler. He hadnt the forward momentum to set down in the shots that polaxed those two men.
I'm not convinced Hearns was more harder hitting than Benn or The Cat at Cruiser, whose shots couldn't put a dent in Eubanks chin.

Cos Hearns was fragile. His best bet was bulldoze not box.

 

And? Hearns was still a fearsome puncher that not many would go toe to toe with despite glaring issues with his whiskers.

 

Hagler felt that was his best strategy. He was correct
