    This is a very tough call...Boxers it seemed gave Valdez more trouble than sluggers, could GGG adapt to a slightly different game plan when he tasted Valdez's legit one punch power? I think he possibly could...GGG by close decision.

    Hmmm, let's see. A blown up lightweight with a 69" reach. A fighter who wasn't the same type of KO man when he moved up in weight classes, who's power wasn't the same as he moved up in class vs. Golovkin?

    Golovkin wins, and unlike his fight with Monzon, Valdez doesn't see the distance. This is a bad style match up for Valdez, who by the way was passed his prime when he fought Monzon :)

    Very easy pick. GGG TKO inside 7

    Golovkin at 5'10.5" is an inch taller than Valdez with an inch longer reach .


    Valdez' reach at 69" was an inch longer than Marciano's ,how is that a "very limited reach" for a middleweight?

    Golovkin won world junior gold at 140lb, so even he's just a blown-up light-welter really...

    The laugh my myopic friend is Glovkin is a NATURAL middleweight with far better power and chin. Valdez is a blown up lightweight.

    5'9" is short for a middle. 5'10 1/2 is about average.

    I don't see any Valdez picks so far.

    Are aware the age requirements for juniors? How old was GGG when this happened? 16 or 17? Adolestntats grow into men, and I'm pretty sure most of us here were 140 pounds at one point in their life, unless we are talking about Flea Man :)

    Well Valdez began scaling around 160 between 23 and 24, hardly the average age for peak physical maturity. As for the height, Mike Gibbons, Charley Burley, Lamotta, Greb, Ketchel, Papke, Klaus, Walker, were all around 5' 9'' or less.

    Valdez was 16 or 17 when he was a lightweight as well. Golovkin turned pro as a 24 year old; he was 159.75 pounds. Valdez at 24; also 159 pounds. Golovkin was a light welterweight as an 18 year old; so was Valdez.

    There is an inch of height, and an inch of reach. I'd say they are fairly similar in size. In fact they are nearly identical weight wise.

    They were all shorter than Valdez.

    Myopic? It appears I can still see well enough to spell GOLOVKIN.

    ps .Ray Robinson turned pro as a lightweight,I guess that's why he never made it as a welter and middleweight:-(
