Over the long years of being a boxing fan and going places I always noticed that the boxers look a lot bigger when they are filmed with a larger TV camera. Guys like Roy Jones , Froch , Floyd, Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman, Tim Bradley, Canelo all looked like midgets when I saw them up close and walked past them.

How tall are you? I get most of them, but Froch is like 6'1ish.

A lot of it is camera angle. They shoot up at the fighter -- during the introductions for instance -- to make them more imposing on screen. But they do it for both guys so as to make the fight seem "huge".

You see it in movies. If you want the protagonist to appear powerful you angle the camera up at them, if you want the protagonist to appear in a weakened state, angle it slightly down.

I'm amazed at guys like Andy Lee or Bute.....6'2 or so and weigh 168 or less. Or Mark Breland who was a 6'3" welterweight! Last time I was 160 I was a 6' 14 yearold.

I haven't been 160 since I was around 14 as well. I've been hovering back and forth between 190 top 210 for the last 15 years and I'm 5'11. And mine is muscle for the most part, I have no idea how these guys do it.

Well it's just the way people are built I guess. I'm 5"10" and weight is 157 pounds pretty lean. My body is pretty much a Chris Algieri clone. A strong gust of wind would knock me down.

You have to consider that these guys are not lifting weights and eating with the intent to add muscle mass. That has to affect a lot things.

I'm built like a ****ing tank. Like I said the other day I have the same build as Lebedev. But I'm predominantly Russian and Irish, so that's to be expected.

Also 200 pounds lean at 5'11" is completely jacked. You do not see a lot of guys walking around like that. And the ones that do are the no cardio having, weightlifting meathead types. Most boxing type guys are not that big.

Also Tommy Hearns had 15 inch arms in his fight against Marvin Hagler. The guy was a stick, but had pipes bigger than Muhammad Ali and he was leaner than Ali too. Yet he still had those guns.

It comes down to frame size.

I can attest to the camera making a person look bigger. I'm 6ft3 and 240lbs, my little brother is 6ft1 and about 230lbs. I've been lucky to see him on TV numerous times during his competitions overseas (He is a 3 time Olympic and Commenwealth games athlete). The camera makes him look huge.

I still let him know who is the eldest and biggest of the brothers though... he he
