Galento was one tough SOB, and that other guy could swat a little!

How did Galento ever get up from that?

Whatever you say about Galento, he was tough. I think that was the first time he'd ever been down.

Joe's technique and leverage was almost perfect.

I'm pretty sure it's the only time he was ever down.

Watching it slowed down like that I had not realised how good that right hand was. The left hook was actually part of a right left combo. The timing is unbelievable!

He's followed through on a perfect right hand then pulled his right arm free to clear a path for the left hook whilst simultaneously shifting his weight across to get the clean connection with the hook. Both Pin point.

It makes you question if there are some people who cannot be knocked unconscious, Ali, Frazier being other examples.

It is remarkable. Galento just looks up at Louis as if to say "Why I oughta"

Louis was the only fighter ever to knock Galento down. Galento was a feared puncher in the 30s.

Joe got every ounce of his body weight behind that shot.his feet were anchored and rotation of his trunk was text book.
Like every thing else with Joe, his feet movement was economical but perfect. After he'd landed his right hand the little movement of his feet was spot on
The punch would have dropped any heavyweight ever.no wonder Galento had never been down before.
Galento is one the sports great characters if not one of the Greats that Joe is.

Absolutely crazy that he was able to get up from that
Louis' punching never ceases to amaze me, bouncing a 230 pound man like that is just scary
