I will be shocked if the bid gets over the 100k mark

It shouldn't but it most likely will.

Purse bids only really commit you to paying the opponent of your fighter a certain purse. I know in a lot of cases the home fighters promoter will have a deal in place with his man irrespective of the boxers entitlement to the purse bid %, sometimes this works out more , sometimes less.

the purse bids are there to ensure that when an agreement cant be reached between managers or promoters that they can still push forward with the fight. like matchroom and box nation will both want the right to show the fight and the purse bids ensure a fair way for the boxers to get as much money as possible. there is usually a 60/40 split if one of the boxers holds a title like the english/scottish/celtic etc and the other boxer doesn't.

Did i really quote EH ? No I didnt think so.

Merely pointing out that in some cases the winning purse bid will have no resemblance to the purses paid, this imo will be one of those.

Just a coincidence that you raised the same point as EH a day after he made it in an open interview

Not surprised Frankie used a bottle, he doesnt have ko hands, great skills like so no disrespect.
Shame things like this happen, was it coz someone recognised him an got all hard as seen a boxer? or was Frankie just a tit?
I could be out an in same situation, unlikely id lose me job or be suspended, unless the bizzys went big on it, be a caution an fine tops
    Thanks SpursBen for link
