No, no excuses. He has the skills, speed and natural ability to have walked that by boxing...I wonder if making weight killed him or something as that was ridiculous!

Not going to be a titilist for very long if he runs into someone his own size with ability since he's moving up. :think

Maybe Saludar was better than he was given credit for, his only loss was a TKO from a broken hand.

A guy with Tanaka's footspeed and movement shouldn't have been fighting as a pressure fighter coming forward, he should have danced, and boxed. Far too often he was walking forward and forcing a fight on the inside, a stupid game plan. I think he wanted to make a point but did so very badly, especially given the Omori fight

Yeah that was a pretty re****ed strategy and it almost cost him, but it ended up working out for him on the end.

A Japanese guy on twitter summed it up "lucky". If he fought like he did against Yedras or Hara he's have walked it. It's clear he wants to be Inoue II but really he's got a very different skill set, and should use HIS skills. His combinations are some of the best in the sport, his hand speed is insane, his footwork is incredible however his power isn't...

...then again could be a case of "finding" his identity in the ring or problems with weight making him feel like he couldn't do 12 high paced rounds.

Next is the Ioka stuff in about 70 mins I think, same channel
