I say 2-1 also, but I gave 3rd to Moylette & 1st to Walsh, narrowly.

Guys as this year ends we have by my reckoning one legit world champ so my question is how many do you think we will have by this time next year?
Will Carl still have his title, will the likes of ormonde and Hyland be able to secure a legit title (wba, wbc, ibf, wbo)
Who else can come out of the pack by years end and become world champ?....

    No one else this year.
Frampton is the best Irish hope to be a titlist this Tim next year.

Nevin and Quigley might be in contention in 2017

That would be my thoughts aswell, quigley definetly still not sure on nevin but hopeful,
If Christina mc mahon won one of those weemens titles would we consider that legit?don't think I would tbh,
Pajo Hyland might be our best hope if he can get one of ******s lads in the ring.
Olympics it is then this year,ha ha
    Three golds five medals,

Phew! Thats a relief! I was starting to think the Irish forum had died a death following Andy Lees defeat. Glad to see theres life out there. :)
Speaking of future world titles - there is an outside chance Andy could win a rematch with BJS. Dont forget he only lost narrowly in the end. Billy Joe hasnt got that many options open to him - he may be forced to rematch Andy.

Bad way to end 2015 for Irish fighters. Hopefully 2016 is better... A member of the Irish diaspora ended 2015 on about as high of a note as he could possibility hit, literally and figuratively :yep

Thinking about it - things maybe didnt end all THAT badly in 2015.

Andy only very narrowly lost out to BJS in the end. (I actually thought Billy Joe would win by a wider margin before the fight - for me it was an improved, better-than-expected performance from Andy).

Spike gave Eubank the 4 toughesr rounds of his fledgling career so far - before stalling completely....somewhat strangely....after that, Maybehe can come again at least domestically.
Granted O'Kane was never good enough - case closed there I'm afraid.

But with Cummings, Quigley, Keeler, Nevin, Ormond etc etc there is plenty of jope out there. A few Olympic medals would really help too. Onwards and upwards.
