GTFO of here Floyd. If anyone's overrated its Floyd's sorry butt. Saying GGG should move up to face Ward so why didn't floyd accept a catchweight fight with GGG. Now you wanna talk about him. lol Now that GGG is being ranked p4p by some, Floyd's all jealous. He should have fought him, not retire facing the bum berto and now talk smack like a chicken.

Floyd Mayweather believes beating Gennady Golovkin at 168lbs would be 'very, very easy' for Andre Ward.

Ward (28-0-KO15) is the former WBA Super and WBC world super-middleweight champion but, having fought above the 168lb limit in his last two fights, reports suggest he will opt for a clash with light-heavyweight kingpin Sergey Kovalev in 2016.

But Mayweather, whose retirement prompted many to elect Golovkin as boxing's new pound-for-pound king, believes his fellow American should stay at super-middleweight and attempt to coax the WBA Super, IBF and interim WBC world middleweight champion up a division.
Mayweather told Fight Hype: "Andre Ward is a 68-pounder and I think he should continue to dominate at 168. This is what I think should happen.

"You know, everybody keeps talking Triple-G, so I just started taking notice probably last year. If this guy Triple-G is so tough and so bad, you know, from what they say, then let him go up and fight Andre Ward.

"Once again, these guys in boxing [media], not me, are rating this guy, Triple-G, super high. He's good with a stationary target in front of him.

When he's fighting a guy that's straight up and down with no special effects, is he good? Absolutely! But do I think that Triple-G can beat Andre Ward? Absolutely not! Easy pickings! It's going to be very, very, very easy for Andre Ward."

Ward was last in action when stopping Liverpool's Paul Smith in the ninth back in June.

Golovkin appears to be keener on the idea of a middleweight unification clash rather than stepping up in weight, earmarking WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders and WBC holder Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez as his preferred opponents.

I don't hold it against Floyd for not fighting GGG because of size.

GGG is a career Middleweight who would walk right though Floyd. Right through him and then KO him based on size. It's just the way it is, GGG is too strong for Floyd.

Floyd was most natural at 135 pounds. That would be asking too much for Floyd to move up. And Floyd is one of my least favorite fighters ever.

GGG isn't a big guy at all, I think he has 1.5 inches on Floyd but frame wise (ectos) they look similar. As much chance as I think GGG has of taking him apart, I give Floyd a chance of hit and run and winning a UD. Floyd does have way more speed and much faster legs, but GGG does know how to cut that ring off and timing is impeccable. But timing Floyd is another thing altogether. I think a catchweight fight would have been one of the most interesting fights in boxing in past few years. 2 undefeated elites, both stellar amateur records, and only 10lbs separating them. Could have been one for the ages if Floyd truly wanted to be considering one of the ATGs and dared to be great.

I wouldn't say easily, but yes, Ward probably does beat him at 168.

Ward should be fighting Stevenson, Kovalev and Beterbiev though, instead of picking on smaller guys.

GGG is not a small framed etco. He's a normal sized man. He's 5'10" walks around in the low 170's. You can look at his waist and his shoulders and tell he's not skinny.

He is skinny. He looked like I did when I was 16-17. Floyd's frame is similar, if you really want to be technical you could call their frame ecto/meso. Naturally both are ecto but as they aged transformed a bit towards mesomorph.

Ward -- the naturally bigger man -- would be too cute and awklward for GGG. Not an easy win for Ward, but a win nonetheless. It goes the distance, and would probably wind up being something like 8 rounds to 4 in Ward's favour.

FLoyd's overrated??? He went through 5 weight classes.

How many weight divisions has Gennady ventured through?

And it's funny, because FLoyd was never a 1 punch KO artist. But just like the other ATG of his generation (Manny P,) they both dared to be great and won lineal championships in 4 weight divisions.

For a guy who has considerable power such as Gennady, who essentially is running through everyone at 160, it wouldn't seem to be such a magnanimous task for him to move up just 8 pounds to fight one of the best fighter in the world.

Him beating Andre Ward at 168 would cement his legacy, and IMO is much greater than him wiping out a mediocre division at 160.

So where do you get off trying to compare these guys? FLoyd started at 130 lbs and fought 24 lbs above his starting weight class. People are clamoring for Gennady to just move up 8 pounds.

And it's hilarious for you to make mention of FLoyd fighting Golovkin. While he's at it, why not take on Kovalev at 175 lbs? The guy went through 5 weight classes and is getting closer to 40 years old, he doesn't need to be campaigning at 160 lbs since he's a WW at this juncture in his career. He only went to 154 a few times for the big paydays, and because he dared to be great.

It would be refreshing to see Gennady take the same approach, but him and his handlers seem rather content just feasting on mid level fighters at 160 lbs.

Mayweather is an ATG whereas Golovkin is nearing his mid 30's and just trying to carve a HOF career at this juncture. Mayweather as a professional is in a completely different stratosphere compared to Golovkin. It's silly for anyone to say otherwise.

After GGG there will be others. It never ends. They say Hopkins should retire, Roy Jones, Wladamir, and Manny but when it comes to Floyd they want him to fight for ****ing ever.

He has more money than all these fighters in the game combined and they think he should keep doing it because he needs to prove himself.

    Prove what to who?

What's wrong with this? Ward would be the favorite in the fight and GGG ducked him.
