He won his first title at lightweight but started out at 118/119, again you need to look a little bit further into it lol. Again i ask you who are all these prime HOF fighters Floyd beat....
Size alone doesn't matter to great champs. GG is overrated, and once he fights a true threat, we will see just how good he is. I heard the same thing about Kostya Tszyu. The same things that you're saying lol.
People should discard these false expectations for Golovkin. Setting the bar high as if Golovkin possesses the skills or ability to mimic greats like SSR, Mayweather, ODLH, Duran, Cotto, Pacquiao, SRL, Hopkins and challenge/win champions in higher divisions. Ain't gonna happen. Only great fighters can do this jump between divisions. Golovkin is not that kind of talent. He is almost 35 years old and has only faced B level opponents. The sooner you dudes face the fact that Golovkin is and will always be a B level middleweight, the sooner you stop setting yourselves up for failure.
No moron, his legacy started earlier than that. He has an ATG win when he was just a 16-0 novice. You've obviously never heard of the ATG Ernesto Marcel (when you boxrec him, take into consideration that he was robbed in the Shibata fight as he clearly won by a decent margin, and the newspaper reports available have him beating Leonel Hernandez). Floyd has never fought anyone as good as Ernesto Marcel. Also Marcel is undoubtedly > Floyd's ATG opponents in the conditions he fought them in. His debut win was against a guy who turned out to be a good fighter (Carlos Mendoza).
And you clowns talking about who are these HOF's that Floyd beat in their prime. Is Floyd even in the HOF yet, lmao. Just stfu lol.
Beat Baldimir for undisputed and held basically every WW Title when he retired. Y'all make all these excuses what prime great elite fighter was there to fight that Mayweather missed out on? Cotto who ducked him and said so out his mouth? Margarito who was never elite and isn't even as good as Baldomir? Who! GGG hasn't even fought a good fighter let alone great, as far as head to head if Mayweather came back I wouldn't mind this fight at 154 PBF would outbox him. As much as it hurts you though Mayweather is retired and has been beating the best fighters in boxing for 20 yrs. Wake me when Golovkin has a win as good as Berto lol.
Guys, disregard this post. Once a guy posts like he knows more than you...it's time to stop talking boxing with them. You'll just keep losing more and more respect for them, and the only respect that you ever had for them is that they like the sport like you do lol.
We'll see if size is not too much of an issue for Floyd. If he doesn't fight Golovkin at Golovkin's weight, he's not the 'great champ' that Pacquiao was. GGG won't lose for a long time. Andre Ward is the only guy around his weight class that would beat him. With all due respect to Tszyu, he certainly wasn't as good as GGG.
If Pac was semi-shot, than what was Floyd?? And pac didn't look shot semi his previous fight when he blasted out Algeri. Floyd has a way of making guys look shot tough
I genuinely know more than you. I don't care for your respect. If you respected me, I'd probably feel like I'm doing something wrong.
