Hype is hype. GG will be in the ring with a threat who can box and punc...and only then will we find out just how good he is. Nobody can gauge how good GG is right now because his comp is just above the level of trash.
Now just imagine how people feel about Mayweather who's never fought an ATG boxer at or near their primes. All of a sudden there's a bunch of weirdos who talk about him as though he's TBE.
That's the problem with fans like you. You'll tell someone that you don't know that you know more than them. That's the problem. Disagreeing is one thing, but actually having the gall to say that you know ore than them is ****en hilarious. GG won't lose for a long time, lmao. If he stays fighting this level of comp I'll side with you.
Exactly dude how do you bash Mayweather and praise one of the biggest paper champs in a while. Mayweather actually beat the #1 fighter at least twice at 130,135,147,&-54 that is a fact and has beaten more champions than any fighter in history. GGG is a new age champ all talk and hype, Mayweather actually proved it over and over, just look at how they talk about the two. GGG fans are afraid for him to go up one division, Mayweather they confidently feel he can compete and beat champs in his 6ths division. One dude is a legit great the other is a media creation. Fu(king Mayweather over Ortiz >GGGs career at this point
The problem with fans like you is that you'd respect me if I was hugging Mayweather's nuts. Something's wrong with the worth of your respect to give it out so easily. If I respect someone, it's for a deeper reason. Have higher standards. To be fair, your posts are telling most people that you know little.
All fighters have to do is beat a bunch of good/great fighters. That's it. You have to be lucky to beat an atg in their prime. You have to be lucky that a fighter like that comes along during your prime period. Right now it doesn't look like a lot of today's fighters will be facing that type of elite opponent. They don't come along like apples grow on trees.
no.1 fighter means little when the era is weak. Beating contender belt holders i.e what people refer to as 'world champion' now (ABC belts) is not the same as beating a 'world champion' as traditionally understood. Any OK fighter can get a belt, look at the current landscape. That sucker punch KO vs Ortiz is greater than GGG's career? Don't go full ****.
Wtf does Floyd have to do with this? I haven't said enough about Floyd let alone boxing for you to even form your fake ass pathetic opinion. Phony talking about GG won't lose for a long time. Mofo he's damn near 34 years old. You go back and follow the argument you GG **** rider. You won't ever see me saying Floyd is TBE clown.
ATG's were everywhere in previous eras. It's not necessarily a thing of luck, although with Mayweather, he fought in a rubbish era. The fact is, certain fighters are so great because they beat fellow ATG's at or near their prime, whether it's luck or not. Until then, it's hard to accurately gauge just how good fighter X is. This is the same problem you are having with Golovkin...he just hasn't fought any 'very good' fighters. The only 'good' fighters he's beaten are Lemieux and Murray IMO, the others are 'ok' wins.
Trying desperatly to unify your division and seeking the best available Challenger is what a paper champion means these days? I wonder how you'd react if GGG won a SMW title at a catchweight 162 and refused to defend it at anything above that.
Based on the content of responses, it's all very transparent. You go back to your pathetic life of respecting people for pathetic reasons.
I agree with Floyd, Ward beats that in 9 rounds to 3 fashion or better. That's why Ward was ducked. Whatever, it isn't happening, Ward moving up to better things in the Light Heavyweight division. Too bad the fight didn't happen, as Ward would've beaten GGG, then move up to potentially clean out that division. Both GGG and Kovalev would've been a couple of nice scalps on the resume. I don't agree with Floyd saying that Ward shouldn't move up. It makes sense far as money goes too for him than to stay at super middle.
I agree, too. I think GGG would only win 3 rounds at best vs Ward. If they were the same size, GGG would have won more rounds and has a bigger chance of the KO (although I'd still pick Ward to win). GGG is just not a super middleweight. Pressure fighters don't rise up weights well anyway, that's why Pacquiao is Top 20 of all time as he had no business going up to 140 let alone 147 and LMW. Obviously Floyd is saying Ward shouldn't move up, because Floyd has never fought a fighter in their primes as good as Kovalev.
This. GGG has only one punch KO power superior to Ward but that's not a huge advantage against a much bigger man. A 8-4, 9-3 type of decision For Ward would be my prediction.
