    Prime for prime, I'm interested in what people think about this one? The Ortiz that knocked out Jennings against the Wladimir that fought Haye for instance.

    Is it possible that Ortiz' size, reach, southpaw style and power would be problematic, even for a prime Wlad?

    He has the power to be problematic. The prime Wladimir would probably take it though. Am very interested to see more from Ortiz. Think Ortiz has a good set of whiskers that will aid him also.

    Yeah, I'd back Wladimir as well, but it would be a good s****.

    Wladimir hasn't really beaten a lot of big, skilled men. Usually, the big guys he fights are stiffs like Wach, Austin, Pianeta etc.

    Thompson and Pulev are exceptions, neither guy had a lot of power though. Thompson did however give Wlad a lot to think about with his southpaw style. I think Ortiz skill, power, size, stance and reach would be a great package to test Klitschko with.

    Don't know what people see in Ortiz. A prime Tony Thompson would outbox him as well. Prime Klitschko wins by stoppage, current Klitschko by decision.

    wlad beats him without getting punched once. todaynor tomorrow or in the last 11 years. wlad wont lose to a smaller guy

    Ortiz is a big, strong, quick southpaw. He'd give Wlad some trouble.

    Didn't Ortiz take 7 rounds to knock out Jennings? But he'd KO Wlad (who scored a wide UD over Jennings) in 3? :roll:

    Ortiz has one good contneder win on his resume and he's nearly 37, not dismissing him but you have to keep him in perspective.

    Ortiz would punish Wlad. Ortiz has a much longer reach than Wlad and can work on the inside. Ortiz is the the same height as Corrie Sanders and we saw what Sanders did to Wlad. Wlad's only tool is his right hand, which is dangerous, but if he can't get his jab going he doesn't throw it.

    A prime Wladimir should be the favorite, but Ortiz could potentially pull off a Sanders-esque victory here. And keep in mind the uppercuts when Wladimir moves in to clinch Ortiz. It'd be a difficult fight even if he wins, maybe similar in some ways to the Samuel Peter fight in terms of the quantity of rough moments he'd need to endure (although Ortiz, while much more skilled and sharp than Peter, does not bring the same amount of aggression and pressure as Peter circa 2004/2005).

    Currently, I'd favor Ortiz to knock Wladimir out. I've thought very highly of Ortiz ever since seeing footage of him early on in his professional career.
