JMM owns Pacquiao absolutely nothing. Why do people keep talking about a 5th fight?

Huh? Why do either of them owe each other anything? They are fighters ffs.
They don't owe each other ****.

JMM knocked Pacquiao the phuck out.
Pacquiao arguably beat JMM 3 times.

    Both have proven themselves.

The reason why I want to see them fight again is because they are entertaining as hell to watch! Pac vs Marquez 4 was one of the best fights in the last 5 years. If that fight ended up going the distance, it would have been FOTY worthy.

Each round was exciting and either man could have come out on top. When a fight is unpredictable, it is exciting. That is why BOXING FANS love to watch them fight. 2 very different styles creating 2 very different fights.

The casuals are the ones with agendas and excuses for everything. Don't let them get to you.

Wait. This is MVC/Shockmaster/Eltirado. Why am I wasting my time...

Pac never beat him once legitimately. JMM beat him 4 times, as per anyone who can score a damn fight!! :deal

Teddy Atlas and Nasim Richardson both believe Marquez is undefeated against Pacquiao.
I would think most trainers believe the same.

When Pacquiao's own trainer "Coach Roach" say's the fights could have gone either way, then you know you've lost those fights.

Juan Manuel Marquez, Papa de Manny! :yep

I have Pac 3-1 against JMM, though I've got no problem with the assertion that he's 1-3 or 0-4 in the series.

The only problem I have is the assertion that JMM was robbed in his 2 defeats. The first 3 fights were all tightly contested and could be interpreted for either guy. The suggestion of a robbery is utter phoop.

People want to see it because everyone know Juan was on steroids for fights 3 and 4, especially 4. He went all out with Memo Heredia for the 4th fight and turned into a science project. People want to see a rematch with VADA and no steroids in Juan's system.

The first fight was scored a draw. Pacquiao at best only won 3 rounds in that fight. Had Cortez been unbiased he would have docked Pac a minimum of 1 point for hitting JMM while he was down.

That was the way Pacquiao was back then. He wanted to murder you.

And it wasn't an illegal punch. Marquez wouldn't go down. He tried to stay up so Pacquiao hit him.

I can't be bothered to debate with people that don't even know basic boxing rules.

The deduction came in the form of a negligent judge who failed to recognize the correct 10-6 scoring of the first round, so there's your poetic justice.

One could argue a different angle of Cortez' performance which is that he could have hypothetically waived off the fight without a count after the 3rd knockdown which wouldn't have been unprecedented and perfectly reasonable. Such a scenario would have likely killed the demand for a rematch, and the epic 4 fight saga would have never taken place.

    Nobody is talking about it.

Just a few nerds (and not even that many of those) on an obscure message board and that only because OP is a die-hard Mayweather fanatic with an agenda.

jmm became prominent due to the pac fights. remove pac in his resume and it plunges big time. so jmm owes pac a lot including his longevity and getting up the higher weights. he could have retired at 126/130 or earlier without pac.

Truth!! Luck plays a bigger part in our lives than most of us are comfortable admitting. Also that was the closest of all three fights in my opinion. I go by the official record but my personal scores were #1 for Pac #2&3 for Marquez and we know the rest.

What I do know is 1 round of any of the jmm-pac fights is more action-packed and exciting than most of floyd's fights.
