corrie never beat an atg. comparing retired corrie to prime Norton is ridiculous. prime Norton edged out an atg. prime corrie did nothing involving even a title. retiring Norton did nothing, retiring corrie almost unifed - see the difference? is their a clue there? It couldn't be plainer and more simple - that corrie coudnt cut it in a regular era but when shot2shyte he was able almost to unify in the weaker klitschko era. If Klitshckos had dared face other semi decent guys from Lewis era who still had something left then they too would have unifed/nearly unifed in K2 era.

Sanders took some heavy artillery from some other big punchers (Puritty, Cooper) just fine, but I think that he had the tendency to lose focus sometimes and get clipped by shots that he wasn't ready for. If you look at the Weathers KD it seems to me to be a case of this. Tubbs landed a good shot straight down the pipe that seemed to me to stun Corrie for an instant, and then the follow up was devastating. Sanders had a fight against a guy called Valdez who he similarly stunned before dropping; there's no coming back from that sort of shot. If he had rematched Tubbs I'm sure that he would have cleaned house. Up to the KO he was boxing his ears off.
As for Herol, I discount anything that he says when it comes to Sanders. It's clear that anything he says is tainted by his pathological hatred of Wlad Klitschko. Nobody even mentioned Wlad until he came in with his usual "Kliturd" comments. So sad.
Corrie Sanders myth has been pumped up by K fans since he sparked wlad and nearly got Vitali out of there ( if he bothered to even train) The truth being Corrie was pretty much average in all aspects, even his power. He KO'd NOBODY of note. He landed flush on egg chin Rahman all night and still lost. The fact that he sparked wlad and had Vitali on bambi legs is testament to how overated the klits are!

Sanders was very good in many areas - speed, power, accuracy, timing, combination punching - that's the truth. He had an average chin and suffered from a lack of dedication in the gym, particularly in his later career. That's also the truth. Not at all. Hats off to Sanders on an excellent win over Wlad. But who else did he prove himself against? He came up short against everyone else and proved himself to be very average in reality.
