Becoming known as a great boxer automatically fosters a new school of imitators who are influenced by the original in usage of the jab, the hook, footwork, defence, etc.
Great fighters generally demonstrate these tools so well that hordes of initiators follow in their footsteps attempting to perfect what they have witnessed.

For Ali, it was the shuffle, the dance, the jab, the speed.
For Mayweather it was defence, the shoulder roll, the hook, the ring generalship
For Tyson, it was the bob and weave, the offence, the uppercut and overhand right, the KO.

What was it for Vlad? What is he known for and would have others imitate?

How many UK fighters are imitating Calzaghe's style?

Who is Tyson Fury trying to imitate? Definitely not a UK or Russian?

I don't think he is trying to imitate anyone, but his showman like style is very reminiscent of naseem hamed?

:lol: Funny since Angelo specifically stated that he had little to do with Ali's tactics in the ring. He had nothing to do with the shuffle, the jab, the rope-a-dope, or any other Ali innovation.
Cus was great. He exposed Tyson to the world of boxing and Tyson took the ball and ran, reviewing and imitating all the past great champions. :yep

It's fairly obvious and he has already stated that he imitates both Ali and the one he was named after, Mike Tyson. :yep

Well Angelo certainly helped Ali in other less honourable ways, or he'd probably have had to give up his 'the greatest' tag face first on the floor against a pub brawler in england.

:lol: Ali was like a grown man playing with a child, Cooper.

As he played and laughed he got surprised by the child kicking him in the nuts. OK, play time is over.
Didn't Cooper leave the ring on a stretcher?

Ali had to cheat to win, Roy had to cheat to win, Floyd had to cheat to win, Evander had to cheat to win... wait there seems to be a pattern emerging. :think
