Discuss. He literally went down and out after 1 left hand. If that's not glass, I don't know what is.
He was caught the same way Pacquiao was vs Marquez. All his body weight coming forward + good counter = recipe for disaster
^^ true that. BUT once you've had your chin cracked that hard. fighters are rarely ever the same beast
It was showing some signs of wear and tear even in the Mendes rematch, I think it's very likely we'll see him hit the deck again very soon :yep
I don't think it's glass man, but definitely not as good as it used to be. He's been feeling shots a lot more lately.
He would have gotten up before a 10 count. That's why I can't watch mma the first shot that stuns a guy ends the fight because you can jump on him and smash his face
Dude was absolutely ****ing out of it, had he gotten up he would have been badly KO'd.... With a sane ref the stoppage may have mirrored Tarver/Jones II with Aldo being too all over the place to continue. I agree that trigger happy refs are a problem in MMA like they are in boxing, but in boxing there isn't ground and pound or submissions to follow when you hit the deck. Different sports man.
Yes he would have and likely been fine. But that's one of the reasons MMA is such an uneven entertainment medium/ sport to watch, guys aren't given time to recover and the fight is over before it even started. Spectators get robbed when fights are over so quickly. That said, knowing fights can be stopped so quickly Aldo probably should have used his brain and striked more conservatively until he got it to the ground. Aldo should hang his head in shame for that farce. Asolutely pathetic display. :verysad
I could see his eyes as he was going down. Flash knockdown. Would have been able to continue if allowed 8 seconds to gather himself. This is why I can't watch mma. One solid punch and dive on the guy gets you a world title. Not my thing
True. I'm not making excuses for aldo I'm just ****ed I spent a Saturday night anticipating a fight that ended in that fashion
YUUUP total waste of time that whole story was. But atleast a lot of people learned something, don't get too hyped for ufc fights - they rarely deliver.
