Finally did research on Roy Jones. He actually did avoid most of the top MW-SMW.

I think prime for prime Roy beats them both but has more of a problem with Dariusz due to styles and attributes... Though I think Calzaghe beats DM more comfortable than Roy... Do you know boxing at all?? There is no agenda in me saying that.

 

Everything said here points to Calzaghe being rated higher than Jones. I know these posters. That's how they feel. They love Cal. They bring so many pathetic angles. First it was Tiberi beat Toney so how good is Toney. Did Toney beat Johnson or McCallum? He lost to Jones and Griffin. Jones really lost to Tarver in that first fight. Jones got knocked out by Tarver and Johnson but came back to beat Tito. Jones still good when he fought Cal. Endless pitiful comments dissing Jones. And the scrutiny of Jones resume, disregarding Cal's resume...and this threads comments-you draw it up.

But I was the only one that picked Joe to beat Dariusz.. I felt singled out. My apologies.

 

I am a fan of both Jones and Calzaghe, obviously more Roy. But Joe was one hell of a fighter. You can see that with an eye test and his resume is very good. Underrated really by most on this site.

 

Roy needs money isn't any other way to put it.
Or why would he chance dying in the ring the way his ass is getting kicked NOW?

I always felt that Calzaghe would have outworked Dariusz to run out a clear decision. It think after the first 3 rounds Dariusz would have had his moments but think would have finished second.
