Frampton comes into the ring at least 131lbs. So you think Quigg is going to weigh in the 140's? You sure about that?
He is a big big super bantamweight weight, I saw him before xmas and he looks like he comes down from about 145lbs
Well ok - but you said: "On fight day he is going to be outweighing Frampton by at least 10lbs" So Quigg is going to rehydrate from 122 to 142+ by your reckoning? ?? In 24 hours? (By the way I'm not disputing that Quigg is bigger - just that he's not THAT much bigger!)
I reckon he will be ten stone at least by fight day, no way is Frampton going up to 130. BTW I really want Frampton to win as I cant stand Hearn
I really hope this is the case, but my money is on Quigg going by the accounts of people who have shared the ring with both.
I'm telling you for certain - for certain - that Frampton rehydrates into the low 130's every time. If Quigg can physically rehydrate much more than that I will be very very surprised. From 122 to 136 would be a full stone gained in 24 hours. Even if more than that is physically possible for a man Quiggs size - it certainly would not help his performance - quite the opposite.
I'm sure that Scott Harrison used to put on 20lbs after a weigh in, he boxed at featherweight but would come in to the ring on fight night around 10st 6lbs. So it is not out of the question that Quigg puts on that much either. Joe Gallagher can really take the weight off before weigh ins just look at Callum Smith he is massive come fight night and John Murray was another on that must have put on 20lbs plus! I also think you are right with Frampton rehydrating to 130lbs plus. I'm just hoping fro the fight to be a terrific one where they both turn up and give 100% Too many big billed fights end up being a let down!
