Hard time not agreeing with this, with the possible exception of McCall and Mercer. The punches Mavrovic took were unreal.

Watching these highlights make me think maybe Joshua has surpassed Lewis as the best British HW of all time?

Would AJ struggle and blow so much with a fighter of the Croats level?

Joshua might be ahead of Lewis head to head but in overall accomplishments I think Lewis still has an edge although two or three more good wins could put Joshua ahead.

Joshua's career is not finished yet but even now i just can't see him struggling over the line like Lewis did here against someone so small and with that ability.

AJ isn't on Lewis' level imo, maybe he will get there we will have to wait and see.

Struggled is the wrong word but he laboured to victory. Would AJ struggle that much with a 215lb limited fighter like that even at this stage in his career? This was in Lewis' prime as well don't forget.

If its the wrong word ,which it is,why keep using it?

Because i did, and yes he laboured to victory against a very average 215lb fighter. AJ even at this point in his career would dispatch the Croatian much easier.

Its a known fact that Steward and Lewis didn't take the fight that important and didn't know who this guy was really. Based on one fight ,its safe to say it means little ( of course today anyone else would be told to retire ) ..

Mavrovic did show how double standards are placed and that eras need to be long gone for ppl to actually know what theyre talking about,bc Lewis was a great champion after all( in HIS era he wasn't..go figure)

    On Joshua vs Lewis career...

No Joshua is already a unified champion and has just as many key wins as Lewis did to define his career which was a past prime Tyson and Holyfield who was still relevant but up and down career at that point.

Lewis did not unify until his ninth year and fought past prime guys who showed that through performances ...Morrison and Mercer are probably his best prime wins( im not including Vitali ,that wasn't a foregone conclusion) ,Lewis lost in his 4th title defense and was not the dominant guy Joshua is displaying currently.

Joshua is not miles behind Lewis and as stated way back will surpass him either way and has two losses to spare , didn't Lewis ?

Why did Lewis state that the bout was one of his toughest, do you believe AJ would struggle that much against competition like that?

I normally don't agree with you but you are spot on, Joshua is well on course to surpass Lewis in every area of boxing.
