I think we've gotten a total of 3 ESPN/PBC shows? FNF was not the best product but it more than made up for that with its style and quantity. I grew up a Micky Ward fan due to FNF (that and Ward being Ward). FNF was comparable to cheap beer: it pairs well with Friday night, you can have a lot of it, and when its the only thing you have at a given time its much appreciated.

I watched it for years. Now we get FNF quality fights on the post fight undercards? on NBCSN instead, with those creepy mother****ers Kenny Rice and BJ Flores. I never thought I would say, I really miss my almost weekly dose of Teddy Atlas.:| At least we still get ShoBox The Next Generation....for now.
Actually, "we" didn't trade FNF for anything. "We" don't control anything. PBC is just as good or better than FNF, so I really haven't missed it as much as you. Being overly concerned about network scheduling is a useless endeavor.
they show old tuesday night fights replays on boxnation and they are great. lots of interesting matchups and prospects. outdoor fights. young floyd and james toney were even on today. we need tusday night fights bringing back and we need friday night fights. theres just no market for pro boxing these days in this sissified, pc world. these maggots get offended if you tell a woman shes attractive without putting her on a pedestal and beating around the bush. its ***ual harrasment. as if they are going to want to watch pro fighting on a weekday.
Me too. And the original ESPN "Top Rank Boxing" series with Al Bernstein. Those shows were, imo, better than FNF. Particularly when that unqualified punk Max Kellerman was on it.
I liked FNF. It offered TV time to prospects and fringe fighters. These type of shows help build a fighter and fans can get to follow the fighter from the start of their career. Lack of appreciation of the type of cards that FNF put on leads to the type of fan that calls fringe world level fighters "bums".
