    If, if, if.

Why the hell would he "fight aggresive"? If he didn't want to take chances vs Shavers or Tyson he won't take any against George. He's tough and skilled enough to box his way to a decision.

Yet you named two fights where Holmes was KO'd and nearly KO'd.

Holmes went life and death with then unknown journeyman Mike Weaver, life and death with C00ney, life and death with Norton, life and death with a novice Bonecrusher, and was almost flattened by Snipes. Why should he suddenly put on a cautious boxing masterclass against Foreman?

Holmes allows himself to get it sometimes. I think what he is saying is that Holmes might lose respect for Foremans power throughout the fight which is a big no no. Foreman has a bigger punch and a better chin, but worse defense.

I admit this is a very hard fight to call. On one hand Holmes has been dropped by shavers but got up to win it. On the other hand he was also hurt by an older Norton and stopped by Tyson. So we know Larry can have his lights put out. Foremans lights were never put out except against ali which was more of a gassing.

Still, I have to pick Foreman for most of the 70's and larry for most of the 80's and 90's. However comeback foreman is very underrated and improved his punching tech a bit. Still a toss up.

    tough call

I agree with your overall post. But he might do it because he was able to outbox plenty of good fighters and Foreman was outboxed by Ali, Morrison, and Young, etc if he allowed himself to get trapped in his opponents rhythm.

Although he was robbed vs Morrison who was ****ting his pants in there.

You have to go with Holmes.

Holmes stand up boxing style keeps him away from Foremans most powerful head punches...,sweeping uppercuts and right hooks. Holmes will be able to outjab George and land his own right over Foremans low left. Holmes clinches in close as Foreman corners him along the ropes. Holmes by 13th round ko over an exhausted Foreman.
