Anyone catch the end of the Feigenbutz ko loss to De Carolis? Feigenbutz was out on his feet and at the start of the finish was completely turned around. The Sauerlands were like a bunch of teenagers at the end protesting the decision going wild at the ref, Wilfried especially. I believe they were moaning about a rabbit punch. However, Feigenbutz had his back to De Carolis initially and De Carolis threw a shot that didn't really land and actually turned him back around. I just thought it was an exceptionally poor showing as their man was beat fair and square and by all accounts got a complete gift decision last time. This is not the first time I have seen them behave in such a manor.

FWIW I understand they withdrew their protest after the bout.

I will say one thing, both the brothers go out there way to help there boxers and the opponents at the hotels ect, a lot could be learnt from both of them a credit to the sport

Haven't seen this so I'll give it a watch, but to be fair from what I've seen and know of the Sauerlands they actually seem ok.

That's fair enough but their fathers antics last night were a disgrace. The ref is just doing his job and it was right to be stopped. If the fighter has his back to his opponent then the fight could arguably have been stopped. At the end of the day De Carolis was robbed in the first fight so find the whole thing laughable.

I don't think Froch thought they kept their word about the staging of the AA fight. I also remember Robert McCracken saying that Wilfried refused to shake his hand after that fight on the Showtime 24/7 series. Seems like a bad loser and they should come out and issue an apology.

In fairness I remember Eddie Hearn jumping in the ring when Bute was taking a count, the rules state your fighter gets disqualified if anyone enters the ring during the contest!

It wasn't that long ago that Sauerland and Matchroom were eyeing up Feigenbutz vs Callum Smith. de Carolis vs Smith sometime this year anyone?

There dad was the same, I remember the Danny Green v Marcus Beyer fight, He Told the doctor and Ref to DQ Green and they did and the cut was not cause by the headbutt. It was a joke

The dad (Wilfried) is the biggest culprit here. Comes across as a terrible bloke.

Then Eddie is exempt from this?
The ref wasn't clear on whether he was stopping it or not. Either way Bute couldn't continue

Kalle has agreed to be on the Tandy Boxing Podcast next week - I'll ask him about the Feigenbutz fight and loads of other stuff.

Also should now be getting a regular roundup from the US by an active heavyweight ranked inside the world top 100 on Boxrec.

I could vaguely see why they were upset but the lad was rocked and not throwing back when the ref (channelling Ian John Lewis) hesitated to stop the fight.

The Sauerlands usually come across as relatively open and decent chaps, I think it's the father who was at fault.

Odd this wasn't broadcast live on Sky as it was a decent fight with Chisora on the undercard.
