    Did he deserve it?

Quigg won the world title by the wba stripping rigo

Crolla is a very weak world champion in a very weak division

And liam smith won a vacate belt in a farce

How did he win this? He's fighters while becoming world champions achieved very very little . I'd have picked peter fury over him because he seems yo be the a big reason Tyson beat wlad as he got him focused and he's tactics were amazing beating a 10 year champ all time great

Gallagher has no stand out fight or even a decent fight tbh. But fair play to him a the same he has had a great year and got a it of praise even if I think the achievements of he's camp flatter to decive.

Is this British trainer of the year?

If so who else would you suggest win it? Maybe Peter Fury with Tyson winning against Klitschko?

How in any way can you question if he deserves it or not. Like it or not he's got 3 world champs, an outstanding prospect in Callum smith and Stephen smith also get a world title shot, of co**** he also has Scotty Cardle
    Fantastic achievement
Also a big shout to Dave Coldeell he's done great with the twins and tony👊👍

I just think theirs no massive outstanding achievement billy, like peter fury has. He got 3 world champs but quigg got he's belt through rigo being stripped, liam smith won he's title against a guy outside the top 50 and crolla had a good win but not a great win

He has had better performances than this through out the years and never got close to an award. Macklin vs Sturm was a better performance than any he's fighters have had this year and he didn't get close to the award

Don't get me wrong its good he won it for British boxing but I don't think he should have

I strongly agree. He did not deserve the award this year. By no means.

yup and I don't know why people are getting offended, I just don't believe joe is the number 1 trainer in the world or deserved the award last year. he has had better years but only got praise this year as 3 of he's fighters picked up mickey mouse belts

quigg - became a real world champion by default(rigo got stripped)

smith - that would title fight was a farce, was that Thompson guy even top 50?

crolla - most deserving out of the lot, but lightweight is very weak and perez is average

peter fury's job with Tyson fury totally outshines all of this. Even Hughies win over Rudenko trumps what smith did, Rudenko would be ranked higher than thompson

And don't forget that Paul Smith turned up in fantastic shape for the Andre Ward fight.

With respect Tyson beat an old man and I fully expected him to beat him, nevertheless a great achievement but joe has done it consistently with several guys at several weights, credit were credits due

I agree billy he does deserve a lot of credit and is very consistent . I just don't feel that he deserved it this year, 3 world champions but if you dig a bit deeper its not as awesome.

id have gone with peter fury ,abel sanchez, robert Garcia,

Very bitter thread. Just because all gallaghers fighters haven't been in huge super fights doesn't mean he hasn't been consistent at a high level. Just because Tyson wins 1 big fight doesn't get Peter the award. Gallaghers stable is huge and consistently doing well

The only thing consistent about Gallagher's gym is the all used to fail at the highest level, now 3 guys pick up mickey mouse titles especially liam smith and he's the best in the world. It boggles the mind. Peter fury had achieved more tgsi year, Hughie vs rudenko, is better than smith smith Thompson as rudenko is ranked higher than thompson
