Probably because he hasn't fought for the title yet....

Usually you have to challenge for the belt in order to become world champion. They don't just hand them out..

He has suffered hand injuries over the last year. I think he had an operation recently

 

He is so talented though its a shame he has been so inactive and looking at how Ricky Burns developed from 2013 onwards I reckon Walsh would have beaten him had they boxed.

 

Hes inactive somewhat. A lot of the inactivity down to himself as well. 3 times he was scheduled to fight sykes and he pulled out 3 times before they finally got it on.sykes is not the only fight hes pulled out of.
Besides that hes a good fighter who could win a world title imo.
Another thing is hes holding the domestic sfw div up somewhat. Hes had the commonwealth about 5yr now and has hardly defended it. British over a yr and defended it once iirc

 

Yeah he should have left domestic belts behind a long time ago, I agree mate

 

Absoultly not Ricky would have stopped Liam that's why the fight never happened

Out injured at the moment his got troy james as his mandatory for british and commonwealth titles. But hav my doubts that fight will happen

defo needs a move on but his dietary masterplan couls see him fighting into his fifties :hey

 

Top top fighter with great trainer in Everett. Should have had a shot at world level by now and would have demolished Burns round by round. If injured I hope he gets fit and ready and Google eyes gets him a 6 fig payday he deserves!!
