Probably a deserved win. Hands down winner of the 'ego of the year' title though....

Sky said he's the only Brit to win it as Enzo is Italian , however George Francis won it years ago , but a nice reward for Joe and like or loathe him he's doing well over last few years

Even if they are all Mickey Mouse titles he's got a better collection of belts in that gym than anyone else at the moment

Not a fan but you can't knock his achievements and dedication. To be fair they haven't been many other outstanding contenders.

Bitter thread? have i not shown to have been right, joes tactics played a huge roll in quigg losing to frampton

its terrible when having an opinion you can justify is classed as bitter

I don't think Quigg v Frampton is relevant in this debate seeing as the fight took place post award, you could say it's not been a good start if he's looking to win the award again next year.

You haven't been proven right, its trainer of the year for 2015 not for 2016, he is clearly a good trainer or he wouldn't have the stable that he has and wouldn't have had the success he has had, he got it wrong for that one fight, just like anyone else trainers can make mistakes and just like fighters they can have off nights where they read the fight wrong or get the tactics wrong, yes it was a poor performance but one fight doesn't turn you into a bad trainer, if he does this several times then yes you can probably start saying he is not as good as people say.

To be fair, they both lost whilst earning huge purses in huge super-fights. Their opponents can't be compared to those of Crolla and Liam Smith.

To be fair Joe Gallagher HAS botched it in several fights - even in several Quigg fights. For example he made the same mistake with Salinas, and Quigg looked well on his way to doing nothing against Kiko too until the Hail Mary landed.

Gallagher may be a great man to get a boxer fit in the gym, but his corner advice during a fight and ability to read a fight are awful.

I still cant believe he had Quigg level after 4-6 rounds against Frampton - how it it possible??? :nut Incredible. :patsch

I have respect for ring mag and if they say so then its fine by me. Also if like someone said Antony crolla is a weak world champion but joe brought the best out of a so called average fighter then he is far better than say Virgil "all my fighters are ready made and inactive" Hunter and remember Callum Smith is the pick of the stable and he has not started yet. Ps the person who called Crolla weak, you would want him there if your house is being burgled...!
