I don't think it's meaningless, he clearly stunned Ali whilst a welterweight. If it was Joe Bloggs down the road he stunned then yes it wouldn't mean anything but Ali had one of the best chins of all time. The year before he took the best shots of Holmes and hung on in there.

Hearns had the power to knock some heavyweights out IMO, where does it say they have to be good heavyweights?

It is meaningless. Lots of crazy Sh.. happens during sparring. If Hearns could ko hwts he should have been able to ko Leonard, Barkley, Benitez or Hagler with the first solid punch he landed. Never happened.

It's a whole new level of craziness when a gangly welterweight hurts a heavyweight with one of the greatest chins of all time.

We all know boxing isn't black and white like that don't we, so you don't believe Tommy Hearns at middleweight hit harder than any professional heavyweight??

I am saying IF he hit that hard he would have koed every welter, middle and LT heavy with his first solid blow. We know he did not ko everyone he fought.

Bob Fitzsimmons, Sam Langford, Harry Greb, Mickey Walker, Archie Moore, and James Toney all fought at middleweight and knocked out heavyweights.

What i asked was.. A fighter that weighing among 160 -175 pounds IN THIS MOMENT could knock out clean a decent hw with a single punch. When i say hw is above 200 pounds. For example toney never fought a hw when he was a mw or lhw

Depending on the heavyweight chin, but Arthur Abraham could knock out a lot of heavyweights. He has some pretty crazy puching power.

Just because you can KO a heavyweight, doesn't mean you can't lose to another middleweight does it?

A lot of middleweights are capable of KOing heavyweights, but the likelihood of them landing that KO punch in an actual contest would be slim.

People need to understand that landing your "best" KO punch in an actual fight is not easy. And it becomes ever more unlikely the more dangerous the opponent in front of you is.

Maximum power + perfect timing + 100% accurate + opponent never saw it coming ....

... that's not easy even against an outclassed opponent, nevermind someone who's much bigger.

Exactly ... Of course if you put your face to take the punch... Even a lw can knock you out. I say during a fight

Well.. If hagler could take several hards shots from hearns then is very likely that a hw can take it. Hagler had iron chin for a mw but h2h i am sure that ken norton could take a better shot cause his size

Holyfield weighed above 200 pounds, very different. And you picked 2 extreme examples to make a desperated point in your favour, carnera never had fame of having great chin.and holyfield had iron chin
