Last fight in a sold out 02 and now he's in a shopping centre... Big step up for Eubank.

Should be fun. CEJ will win imo probably by mid rounds but I hope I'm wrong

I suspect Mick is also wary of hiring out a massive venue for this and then Eubank Jr pulling out.

Personally I'm a bit gutted this has been made.. For reasons I admit are strange.

First of all, credit to Nick for chasing & making this fight, he could of got an easier defence and won the belt outright.
Second, likewise to CEJ as he also could of got an easier fight, or as mentioned been straight in for the world honours.

The reason I'm a little gutted , is I really like Blackwell - he's a throwback, plus his story of never having boxed am' is amazing..when he lost to Murray all those years ago as a young raw novice I hoped he would learn and come back and achieve his goal. He's had many ups an downs to get here. but I feel this will be a bridge to far, which is a shame, I really hope I am wrong an he gets the win..! He's some boy! But eubank late stoppage for me.

Good fight for both. Eubank needs this fight. He will win but will be a good test.

this really could propel Blackwell to fringe world level status and could well build from there
the lad as done fantastic just shows what hard work grit and determination can do for you

I kind of get what you are saying. It'd be a shame if he got KO'ed or beaten decisively, after all the adversity he has come through. But he needs the opportunity for us to see just how far he has come, bit like the Ryder fight. I think this fight has come at the right time for both really. Neither are ready to challenge for a world title, and this is a nice fight to see who is the best domestically, outside of BJS. Maybe the winner will get another shot at BJS later in the year?

Yeh course, it's always good to have two fighters in there who want to win & progress - and this fight ticks those boxes... and ultimately there has to be a winner & loser, that's one of reasons we love the game. Not for a second am I complaining & nor do I think it's too soon or anything - perfect timing as it's ever going to get, I just don't think Nick is quite upto the job. But that's boxing isn't it - by no means an easy gimme fight. A good trade fight as they say and the winner , will come through a tough fight that's for sure & be a worthy holder of the Lonsdale belt, whoever it is - but imo be a shame to see Nick lose, his character shows he will no doubt come back & for me he will have other belts around his waist in future . No doubt .

    That is too simplistic.
Both fought Billy Joe on the way UP. Both have improved dramatically, particularly Nick. Its entirely possible that BOTh would win a rematch with Billy Joe.

Yeah, we'll have to see how it pans out, but I have it as a pretty much 50/50 fight. Eubank Jr isn't an amazing talent or anything, in my opinion. It wouldn't be a surprise if Blackwell did a job on him, as he did Ryder.
