3.5 years out of the ring, you can't expect him to go for the killers straight away, no Haye fan but it's understandable.

Haye did what was expected of him and got the win, and won easy. From what little we saw of him he looked a bit rusty and sluggish but it was clearly more than enough to get the job done tonight.

As I said earlier, I'm routing for him and hoping this comeback goes well. Haye's a very good fighter on his night, and I think he can still be one of the best in the heavyweight division and give us some exiting fights, and I hope he will.

Nice counter, nice shot by Haye.
But neverless, I thought he was moving way slower than he used to. And even more, he seemed not so "fluid". He has always been a very agile and fluid mover. He didn't show that. Or is it just me?

Haye will have benefited from the time in camp and the build up, he'll have learned something about the levels of his desire to sacrifice in order to prepare for a fight. He can only beat what's put in front of him but the matchmakers have something to answer for!

As it turned out, fairly clever way to draw attention.

How many of that same 29k wouldn't have tuned in to see Haye vs. someone like De Mori if they had to pay? Or bother with finding a sketchy illegal stream?

This way, all those people saw (and will see the replay circulated, as the fight only lasted a nice bite-size 2 minutes to suit most idiots' attention spans) Haye destroy a guy and look vintage, and thus people will be talking about Haye still being a force as he talks his way into a big match.

    All in all, very clever.

It wasn't just you, those were my thoughts too. Way slower with hands and feet. We learned little about Haye 2.0.
