I hate to say it but Mark Breland is not the right coach for Wilder.

Mark Breland is a genius boxing mind, but I just dont see him being the right fit for Wilder. I think Wilder would thrive far better under John David Jackson.

Wilder sucks you can't polish a turd. Jennings looked ten times better against Szpilka.

I didn't like how wilder was fighting he can't box I'd have him fighting wild in spurts to win rounds I had spilka up at the time of te stoppage. Wilders a special talent but I think he might need a change

its between wilders ears that the problem has been in his last 3 fights.
he is thinking to much trying to impress instead of moving his feet and letting his hands go.

Yea you can see that alright but I still think he might not have the footwork though to box at the highest level

On the bright side His footwork makes him much more unpredictable as there are signs, that Wilder developed unorthodox habits of shooting KO power shots off balance.

Deontay Wilder needs to just to refine his punches, without changing anything...Why try to be like all the failures, when you are Undefeated & have the skills to flatten anybody :think

Yeah that's a good point he lands really wild power shots randomly and out of nowhere it could still enough for him to reach the top but he'll be relaying totally on kos and kds

Fundamentally I didn't like what I saw last night. Not just last night, I don't like what I've seen in Wilder's last three outing. Yes he he has talent (speed and Punching power mainly), but, what good is talent if it's underdeveloped or not properly utilized.

There is no reason why a guy that tall, with that much reach, should struggle with a fighter the level Szpilka. Say what you want about Fury and his shortcomings, the man knows how to fight tall, something Wilder yet hasn't leaned.

With that being said, I still have Wilder brutally laying out that over-hyped fat Russian midget in his next fight. You can bank on that.

Wilder needs to work behind his jab more and straighten his punches out

Agreed on the trainer. But I think Povetkin takes beats Wilder.

I don't like how Wilder stands with his gloves essentially touching in front of his solar plexus. I think it slows down his jab and telegraphs his right hand when he punches from that position.

It also seems to make him loop his left hook because he's bringing it from the front of his body in a wide arc.

This and work strength in his legs and better balance. That would look just like AJ

I like Mark Breland but I don't see his style of training working at HW. He needs smaller guys with all around quicker movement to do what he wants them to do. It's worked well enough against 2nd and 3rd teir opposition but it will get Wilder in trouble against many of the top guys.

I don't know if his trainer is telling him to fight the way he does that's just how the guy is comfortable fighting. Young foreman learned how to pump his jab but fundamentally he was a highly flawed fighter
