Holyfield over lyle in hitting power? Lmao excuse me if i take the word of a boxing legend who took their shots and not the word of a pathetic ancient writer who never did box. No. Lewis could not duplicate what young and ali did because lewis was slower, he got much worse chin and he did not have the stamina of them at 245 pounds.he would be an easier target.ANYWAY IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU SAID, YOU SAID THAT FOREMAN DID NOT HAVE MUCH BETTER CHIN THAN LEWIS WHAT IS FALSE
okay, let me revise that and say light hitters knocked him down. Feel better? Let me revised it yet again, and say no one with the punching power of a Young, ever knocked Lewis down. See the case for Lewis just keeps getting stronger and stronger.
Young and Ali prove that it's not as clear cut and you would like it to be. And Lewis would definitely beat Young in a boxing match, not even close. And whether or not Lewis was slower than either Young or Ali he was a hell of a lot faster than Foreman ever was. Lewis would also very likely beat Lyle, without getting knocked down numerous times, he certainly fought harder punchers than Lyle, and was able to avoid their punches, that's been confirmed. As for Lewis being such an easy target at 245 I guess that explains all his losses.
Ali knocked out Bonavena, something nobody else was able to do. I'd hardly call him a "light hitter".
How's this false when light hitting Young, the guy with 11 KO's on his record, knocked him down? And light hitting Ali KO'd him, and he was down more times in his career than Lewis, all this makes it seem like his chin isn't a whole lot worse than Foreman's. You've said absolutely nothing to refute this. Not one damn thing.
Better contact the Ring magazine and tell them they over looked Ali when they were doing their best p4p punchers of all time. Where would you rank him on the list? top 5 maybe. Jimmy Young had 11 KO's on his record, which is about a 20% KO rate, try spinning that into something meaningful.
You can say that about any hypothetical fight you want to talk about. But to the vast majority it's not debatable. You like polls, poll this question and see what the response is.
While a punchers chance for George is an eminent possibility, foreman fit the description of the kind of slow lumbering slugger with poor stamina and defense that Lewis generally feasted on.. Lewis TKO 6 Foreman ( barring a lucky punch )
This is way to logical for many of the posters on this thread. Their logical skills begin and end with; Foreman big puncher, Lewis glass chin, Foreman cracks chin. No other outcome is possible, or will be considered. /thread
More excuses for lennis humiliation. He was on in those fights. Chin is chin. Do you think Tyson was on in his losses? Do you think Tyson didn't face stamina issues in his Losses? Did he go down like an over protected girl by one big shot to the face like lenni has twice in his beautifully crafted career? Nope
No its not. Foreman will do an even more comprehensive job than McCall and Rahman. Not a single question will be asked.
Vanboxingfan your boy is a girl who cannot take a big punch to the face. McCall and rahman are noted down in history for ever.
Lewis did not face anyone of a prime foreman's calibre. Foreman will make him cry with a body shot. Lol
