You're trying to discredit his resume. You're also trying to make a case that Tyson was ahead of Marciano in ATG rankings.

I think Tyson beats them all, but they were spread out over 3 or 4 years, and Tyson barely made it past 3 years at the top in his own era, so he could slip up here too.
In fact, Marciano's 49 fight run was spread over 7 or 8 years, and Tyson was probably on schedule to come close or match that, but he didn't. Still, I believe he could have got past an Ezzard Charles or an Archie Moore instead of Douglas, based on style and size factors.

I'm trying to get people to predict how Tyson would do against the Marciano opponents I've named.

If you don't want to participate you don't have to, it's not compulsory.

You can always make another thread licking Sonny Liston's a*se.

Agreed.. The fact that Douglas was 6'4", 230 lbs and still in his 20s are overlooked factors and ones that Tyson wouldn't be confronted by against Rocky's list.

    That wasn't my post.
Now how about you answer the question that I pose in the thread?

Moore and Walcott upset him. He beats everyone else.

You think the Walcott that went out in one round to Marciano upsets Tyson?:think
Then again ,you said this on the Marciano v Jeffries thread.

Finally in round 14 Rocky would land his vaunted Suzy Q right hand and I have news for any and everybody, nobody that ever lived could have taken that when it landed flush. Jeffires would go down and go down hard. Marciano by kayo!
Have you watched Marciano v C*ckell?

"My best punches didn't seem to affect him".Marciano.

"A prime Liston imo was the most complete boxer in history"
    That's your quote.

I honestly think Walcott and Charles beat him by UD. Walcott might even score a late ko.

It's possible, maybe Walcott the champion 1952 beats Tyson, but not the 1953 Walcott who challenged Marciano and went down in the 1st round.

Yes, it would definitely take Walcott at his best. It seems Walcott lost alot of heart after that first Marciano ko. I don't think Walcott planned on going too many rounds that day.

Walcott could beat him and Charles of the 1st Marciano battle had a good chance. These fellows had much more experience than the Tyson opponents. Moore could be trouble but I think Tyson gets to him 1st....It would be nice to see the strategy these masters would use. I always felt Walcott would get the upset over Tyson whose best chance would be an early blitz but beware coming in with the pin pointing Walcott

That is entirely my point. It is the SECOND FIGHT Walcott we are evaluating. I don't think he gets out of the initial round.

Oh, then definitely Walcott would lose probably the same way. Walcott just didn't have the heart anymore. Charles of the first fight still can get a UD from him.
