Imo, Vitali and Tyson aren't in the top ten. My list is similar to yours, but I have different boxers in different places.

Go on then you've convinced me, stick Frazier in the top 10 and it's Tyson or Vitali for number 11. Frazier's best win trumps any of Tyson's victories, they had a similar length of a title reign though Tyson did have more wins. But Frazier didn't lose to a Buster Douglas, he only lost to ATG's.

He also didn't lose to a Kevin Mcbride, or Danny Williams.

Exactly, Frazier in much worse health fought Jumbo Cummings to a draw whilst Tyson at that age was getting KTFO by Danny Williams and curring out against Kevin McBride.

Liston never had a single title defense but he is placed ahead of Tyson who had 9?

Vitali Who? Who the hell did he ever beat? Sam Peter? Kirk Johnson? I like his toughness but he is out of his depth being on this list.

I would further argue that Tyson dominated the division for 3 years in a meter that Holyfield never did.

Liston cleaned out the heavyweight division, completely annihilated an ATG twice. And he didn't duck anybody. You can't say the same about Tyson.

My top 10 is not just ranked on their records, H2H comes into it too. liston is a H2H monster imo.

vital, the fighter who was never dropped let alone knocked out. A fighter who was never outclassed in a fight and a fighter who is a H2H nightmare for any fighter ever, who the hell did Tyson beat then?? An old pensioner and a blown up light heavyweight...

Holyfield ****es all over Tyson, for starters he beat the man twice. He beat the man who knocked Tyson all over the ring. He's got a better resume, won the title 4 times and had more longevity. Holyfield's run would also have lasted longer fighting the same fighters Tyson did during his defences.

Yeah, from that 1986 list, he cleaned out everyone except Douglas and Witherspoon.
    Douglas cleaned Tyson's clock.

Nothing wrong with Tyson in a top ten. It's a soft top ten with a concrete top two.

Very decent list. I don't think Bowe belongs there however. Also, where's Dempsey? :huh

Yes he's worthy. He flattened about 98% of an entire division and established himself as he youngest Champion of all time within less than four years of tuning pro.

I don't think he did enough to be in the top ten.

His resume before Douglas trumps the work of nearly every ATG heavyweight.

    Dempsey? Liston?

Hell, even Marciano or Johnson?
