Haye needs to beat someone half decent first, Demori was a complete bum who didn't even come to fight.

Why should Anthony Joshua fight David Haye in only his 16th fight?

Wilder faught Audley Harrison in his 28th fight (who was KOd by Michael Sprott), and faught Jason Gavern in his 32nd fight.

Anthony Joshua faught Michael Sprott in his 10th fight, and Jason Gavern in his 11th fight.

IBF belt is there for the taking for Joshua.

Its not about that. Joshua and hearn dont like that fight at all.
But for the next 6 months its all good.
Joshua might fight chisora and he will destroy him.
maybe then joshua finds some confidence

Haye is gonna have to build his way up, it looks like big fights will not get handed to him. I think Haye has the ability to earn a title shot legitimately. If Haye vs Joshua did happen within the next 2 years, I think Haye would win by KO.

    Exactly.

Why bother when he can chase a Belt.

No brainer for me. Right now i see Haye beating Joshua anyway. AJ needs a more time to learn his craft.

There are a lot of deficiencies in his game right now, but he is young, and can learn and improve.

Haye is getting way to much hype for beating a total bum in Demori. Demori was scared and hardly threw a punch.

Haye's best option would be to try and get a fight with Martin for the IBF belt. Or try and get Chagaev's WBA 'regular' belt even though it is meaningless it will make him a bit more important than he is. I don't see Joshua or Fury willingly fighting Haye without some type of reward (a trinket belt)

Remember Haye ducked his mandatory Chagaev and instead fought Audley back in the day, citing Chagaev's "Hepatitis infection". Now all of a sudden it seems Hepatitis isn't a big problem now that Haye is in dire need of an ABC belt!

Much as I would like to see the fight, the obvious route for Joshua to take at the moment is to become mandatory for the IBF and then aim for the unification fight with the winner of Fury v Wlad.

If Haye's boxed himself to contention by that point, which I think he will, then that becomes a massive fight too.
