So your telling me you can pick both and it makes it okay? Nope There's only two picks bum, make your choice.
While neither Kovalev or Golovkin have fought no where near enough to establish any P4P credentials, Kovalev is at least in the process of taking the right road, while Golovkin (probably due to K2) asked AAA for a scenic route trip map which traverses long country roads and bypasses big cities. If both share the same destination, it is clear to observe which will arrive there first. Duva is a much better promoter then K2 and makes much better fights happen for her fighters. With Duva, it's what you see is what you get management. K2 is more like a Wall Street hedge fund company who knows how to inflate the actual value of their product well beyond it's actual worth. Smoke and mirrors management.
Kovalev has been one-punch-koed with HEADGEAR and antishock gloves. And going from how he talk about Golovkin, it's likely he didn't take his power too well, either. He's funny, and genuine, but chinny and has stylistic flaws
Including a "both" option to the poll would have been ridiculously unnecessary when the obvious answer is, none.
P4P Genna is better, I think he's harder to beat at MW than Kovalev is LHW and that's not because the division is "weaker" or anything like that either.
I believe Kovalev deserves the credit for facing the better, more competitive competition, but I also believe great fighters are created by great competitive matches, not hype. So, each deserve good competitive matches rather than hype.
