The Honeyghan that fought Curry's the only version I'd giver a chance.

Even the Honeyghan that beat Curry has no shot in Hell here.

You simply can't beat a welterweight Trinidad with the all out offensive style Honeyghan had.

Fun fight while it lasts, but Tito takes Honeyghan apart then KOs him in style.

I wouldn't know about that, Honeyghan was spectacular that night.

It's interesting how little credit is handed to the "great night" types from lower weight divisions. When Buster Douglas beats up Tyson we get "Tokyo Douglas". We also have creatures like "Toledo Dempsey" and "Holyfield Bowe" who can beat anyone...but you don't get that at the lower weights.

It's true, Montreal Duran. It's the same in French.

I'm surprised Tszyu Phillips and Morales Raheem never caught on.

He was a DAMN GOOD FIGHTER that night, not saying he wasn't. However, it was aided by the fact that Curry wasn't 100%.

Even IF Curry was 100%, who knows? Maybe Honeyghan just had his number.

But Trinidad's style was more suited to deal with Honeyghan that Curry's style was.

Curry was more of a patient, methodical type fighter. He was brilliant against boxer types who gave him room to operate (Larocca, McCrory). But Honeyghan's unorthodox aggression threw him off.

It wouldn't throw off Tito though. Trinidad LIVED for aggressive fighters. I think people tend to forget how good a counter puncher Tito was. What they DON'T forget is that power. Honeyghan wouldn't handle too many counter Tito hooks.

Like I said, fun war while it lasts, but it ends with Honeyghan flat on his face, like Maurice Blocker.
