Physically talented but an average boxer. Nothing in his ****nal stood out anything that he did well, also left him wide open. He had a heck of a run and maybe he could have avoided some of those losses if he fought smarter.
beat both Winky and Hopkins clearly. Could have beaten Pavlik in a 3rd match. I don't think Taylor had the chin for SMW.
To this day, i can see him only winning one of those fights with Hopkins. And i have watched them over and over again.
Got some good styles matchups and made the most of his opportunities. Average in every dept, except he had very good handspeed. Had him beating Froch by a rd going into the 12th. Shoulda kept his distance and stuck and moved. :think
Good fighter, athletic with natural ability. Loved the way he utilized his jab. Could have been great but Arthur Abraham really put a beaten on that boy. That super six tournament messed up his career.
Sure did. Went from polite, Everlast poster-boy to loose cannon societal menace. Had good boxing fundamentals, enjoyed watching him fight, just couldn't take a great shot.
Talented fighter, had size, speed and decent power. But his stamina was an issue and so was his durability which is why the bigger punchers he fought beat him. He would have benefited from a more defensive style but when you have his speed and power it's too tempting to simply beat your opponent to the punch and try and dominate.
reminds me of tyson, so talanted but the media got him early and he lost the focus...which made him lazy...lost the hunger..when you lose the hunger, its nearly impossible to get back.
