Snooze fest or tactical genius fight?

Pep only legit knocked down by Saddler who has the greatest offensive ****nal?

Whitaker was safety first but had pop enough for respect.

    Who takes this and why?

Probably done before but I'm switching to classic as its a far better read than the general forum :bbb

Pep was a small ATG feather who lost against the best LW he faced. Where as Whitaker was an ATG lightweight and welterweight who never lost in his prime.

So Whitaker is too big for Pep but also too good for Pep.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. I think talent wise they're comparable but Whitaker is simply too big for Pep.

    Too good? Or too big?

Pernell is too big for the Will of the Wisp. Plus he's far, far stronger than Willie. This is a bit of a mismatch.

Even though Saddler manhandled Willie in 3 of 4, The wisp showed how he could beat a bigger great opponent. I would bet Sweet Pea would beat him 9 out of 10 but you never know when that 1 win will come.

The size difference is probably too much for Willie to handle but not sure how well Sweat Pea would do against a guy just as illusive as he was, Pep may make it dirty like his win again Saddler who knows
