Why did Mike Jones retire after the Randall Bailey fight? I remember top rank want him to be one of Pacquiao's opponents. He was beating Bailey pretty easily until Bailey knocked him out. I never heard of him after that did Top Rank drop him. He was a huge 147lb with power.
He got upset by a complete nobody after he came back to boxing. Not sure what happened since, but he did fight after Bailey.
basically he came back and fought that Herrera guy...and knocked him down twice....and the kid got up and came back to put a decent beating on jones...he had some cuts or something I dunno what caused them but I think his people tried to spin it like they caused him a lot of trouble and they were gonna take quite some time to heal...I think the beating beat the desire out of him
He never got power. I would say he was big and feather-fisted a bit like Clottey. The guy was a definition of hype job, he punched himself out in the first Karas fight and almost got his azz KOed afterwards. To finish on a positive note I wish him all the best in life after boxing
LOL this guy was one of the most hyped guys as a prospect and then the bailey fight happened jones was easily winning the fight only to get knocked out in round 11. btw he has not retired.
