Hello, Harry Greb of the first Tunney fight vs Jim Corbett of the Sullivan fight, 15 rounds. Thank You.
i think corbett matches up quite well with greb, he won't be at the speed deficit a lot of the hw's greb beat were and greb isn't pulling a fitz. 15rds favors greb a bit tho. complete guess, i'll go greb close.
yeah, i wasn't clear, just meant it'd be a lot closer there than the difference vs most of the big guys greb did fight.
I would love to see the clinch action here. Corbett could really rough it up in the clinches and Greb is one of the greatest rough housers in boxing. I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of blood from both sides.
Yes, much "Moorer", apart from his exploits in the ring, he did not stoop, like Moore did, to mock an ailing alzheimers victim to bolster a documentary film! Almost forgot, seems with Jim's limited experience, he would be swamped by the 300 fight force of nature.
i think so, bigger plus experienced past 15. with every round past 15, and certainley 20 i'd favor corbett more.
I can see that Greb's style doesn't sound like it would last 20 rounds. At least not at his usual high pace while Corbett will still be able to work at a good pace in the later rounds.
You need to educate yourself. In 15 rounders Greb was coming on by the last rounds, picking up the pace, even against big fellers like Brennan. He could go all night at his chosen pace.
