I only listen to one Boxing Podcast (TNR Featuring Steve Kim) and as of recently I've stopped listening to him for a number of reasons, and I wanted to know if any of anyone knew some decent Boxing Podcasts to checkout.

    I listen to a bunch:

Bad Left Hook - my favourite, Scott Christ delivers it with no excess fat, dude knows boxing..very enjoyable.

theboxingrant - not bad, guys are pretty negative especially with regards to the PBC.
They also NEVER disagree with eachother makes it a little boring.

Thaboxingvoice - way too long and a lot of the callers really DKSAB. It's pretty low budget

The one with Mario Lopez and Steve Kim is alright as well. Steve Kim and Montoya also do one together as mentioned above, it's alright, quite long and Montoya really needs to upgrade his audio gear.

I listen to it regularly but Thaboxingvoice is Clown Central a lot of the time. The host Nes is too loud and overbearing for my liking and a lot of the callers are as dumb as a box of drunk frogs and ignorant as hell.

Totally agree with you on both points. Nes just starts yelling over people when they don't agree with him, I honestly don't think he is that knowledgeable when it comes to boxing.

He isn't he's just loud and opinionated. I'm sure he's an OK guy and all but it does irk me, as do many of the callers too.

Yes, I find his voice irritating too. Lacking boxing knowledge all around on that channel too so I can't really respect their opinions all that much.

    The best two are:

"The Next Round" hosted by Steve Kim

    and

"On The Grind Boxing" hosted by Suge Green.

Those two hosts never hug anybody's nuts.

    Another good one is

"The Tale of the Tape/The Boxing Rant"

I agree what you say about the Boxing Voice. The host wastes so much time arguing about idiotic things, that it sounds like he's actually trying to make the show as long as possible. It gets really tiring when they make you listen to a stupid sound bite every time there's a first-time caller, and another one when someone has to eat crow for a bad pick (it's probably a cumulative 5 minutes per episode of useless sound bites). Also, they allow trolls to call in and talk for a long time, whereas other shows just hang up on trolls. On a positive note, the show does have some smart co-hosts like Beeb, Robbie and Mario who make it worth listening to occasionally.

I disagree with what you say about The Next Round. That show is always 90 minutes with an extra 30 minutes of calls. It never sounds superfluous or long to me.

It's hard to find a show with a good host. Steve Kim ("The Next Round") and Suge Green (On The Grind Boxing") keep things moving at a fast pace and are very smart guys. Also "Bad Left Hook" and "The Boxing Rant" have good hosts who are pretty smart.

There are lots of boxing podcasts out there, but almost all of them aren't worth listening to, mainly because the host isn't prepared and sits there blabbering while trying to think of something to say next.
