In the 5 rounds filmed and counted Marciano is averaging about 70 punches around. That's more than Tua did against Ike, and almost all of them were power punches with bad intentions. And by most accounts, Marciano was in the 60 to 100 range from the 6th round on. Marciano pulls similar numbers in filmed fights against Cokell and Moore so it wasn't just a one off like Tua vs Ike. There is no debate.

Point being Vitali was 63lbs heavier and was 6 years older. It puts Marciano's stats into perspective I would say.
