The only wayI see it happening is with a sustained attack don't see anyone stopping him with 1 shot, ( though anyone can get knocked out ). And the only I know who hit hard enough and fought with the aggressiveness to do it is 1.Duran 2.Pryor.thought maybe Armstrong but he didnt hit hard enough to really hurt Chavez.

    Randall put him down.

How isn't Hatton an ATG at 140? He beat arguably the man at that weight in Kosta (KT and Pryor are a lock for the best at that weight).

What more does he have to do?

Duran and Pryor have the best shot.

Go back in time and fight in an era when men were men and boxers had skills. Post-96 boxers get little-to-no love around here.

    Hard to argue with that.

The exceptions that prove the rule (and Golovkin seems to have at least as many naysayers as fans here). There are fewer than 20 boxers from the past 20 years who consistently get high praise here.

There was a certain amount of dog in Chavez. He quit more than a few times. Twice against Oscar. In the rematch with Randall. Later with Grover Wiley.

Chavez could chase movers all night. But if you could bust him up and worry him, he'd start complaining to the ref and looking for help. (A trait his son inherited.)

Because of that, I'd say some of the more powerful, rugged guys from the past could probably put enough doubt in Chavez's mind and bust him up to the point that he asked for the fight to be stopped.

Those guys include Alexis Arguello, Roberto Duran, Kostya Tszyu, Manny Pacquiao, Aaron Pryor, Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley and even Ricky Hatton.

And Hammerin Hank Armstrong. I'm not saying its a given but his workrate and strength inside can match JCC. Hank would be so fresh after 10 rounds with a pace I only think Pryor could match. It should be those 3 names.

Pacquiao has the outside speed to land big shots but I have questions about him on the inside vs JCC to include him.
