Let's face it, Ali has nothing that will trouble Lewis.

We are, but people with average footwork got to Ali in his prime. I think Lewis could find Ali.

I think it's a pretty close call as to who would win. Probably Ali, but it's certainly not guaranteed.

For the most part you're probably looking at a boxing match, more than say a fight, Lewis definitely has the longer reach and power advantage, but Ali has hand and foot speed, and other intangibles he brings to the table.

I'm no troll, I've been here for years. Who has Ali beaten who is as good all round as Lewis?

No one and vice versa. Kind of my point.

IMO Lewis was a poor man's Liston.

On what planet did Lewis have fast hands and punch variety?

    Ali toys with him. Toys.

No, your point was that Ali wouldn't trouble Lewis and that he never faced anyone like Lewis. You never said anything about vice versa.

Lewis had an uppercut for a start, a punch Ali lacked. He had fast hands, not Ali or Tyson fast but still quick and threw good combos.

But what I am getting at is Ali is favoured to beat the type of fighter he has no history of beating, as if it's a given. No other great gets that treatment.

It's not a knock against Ali, it's pointing out a double standard.
