    While I was pretty critical of Ottke in my OP I agree fully with you he deserves to be in the HOF.

    Ottke was a awful to watch, I won't argue. He also got a few hometown decisions, yes. The thing is: So did many other US based guys who were first ballot inductees. And Ottke wasn't, and is still not. It's a disgrace.

    That's kind of my point, Ward will be first ballot granted he may not have gotten any gifts, Bika match was closer than the scorecards reflect, everything else I said about Ottke applies to him, and he's worshipped on here by many fans.

    :lol:Well, maybe you're right, maybe not. But the next time you make a point, at least make an attempt to write down the truth to bolster it instead of bull****, because when you write down an obvious falsehood to prove your point, you lack credibility. Now that we all know Arturo Gatti isn't American and therefore didn't get in for that reason, why did Gatti get in the HOF in the first place if it's not about excitement in his case? And just out of curiousity, where are you from? While we're at it, I'm not a Hill fan, and I believe he's overrated. But he probably got in due to his longevity plus I think he's close to the record for the most lightheavy title defenses. I also believe he held a strap at cruiserweight. Can anyone confirm whether those 2 are correct or not?

    Thanks. Like I said, I'm no fan of his but that's a crazy amount of gold, silver and bronze medalists from the Olympics and World Amateur Championships to have on your resume as well as other elite amateurs too.

    Ottke had a awsome amatuer carrer record but a number of fighters had a huge amateur career and never fought bums like ottke did and only in is home town..people like Klitsko, tyzu, ggg, holyfield and ali just to name a few all had great amatuer careers and fought at the highest level there about 20 other champs that are infront of ottke with similar amatuer carers that have won titles ..he was a bum who tried to keep his title longer than he should of.
