headgear is for stopping cuts and doesn't prevent concussion nor protect a chin

Kovalev has the ability to KO Jones with a Jab. That is how bad Jones Glass Jaw is. Jones never dared to take a risk fighting a calculated puncher like Kovalev. Reluctant Roy would get his fragile Glass Jaw shattered in brutal fashion.

how does a man in his mid thirties add 10 pounds of all muscle between fight? Testosterone levels are on the decline at that age.

The naturally lifetime limit of possible muscle is approximately *20lbs to put that in perspective

    *without drugs

Roy Jones a HW title when he was past his best. No way he gets starched by a LHW

Chris Byrd was knocked out by Calzaghe in the amateurs.

Byrd went on to take clean punches from Tua, Wlad, Vitali, Golota...etc.

It means nothing, it's a pipe dream on your part.

Rjj, easily one of, if not the most over rated fighter on this board. Idk where it comes from, his true boxing skills were inept

That would've been a very interesting fight to see unfold. I've seen people mention RJJ being knocked out by Tarver at the weight class but I'd imagine in this hypothetical H2H that it would be a younger version of LHW Jones Jr and not the one at the tail end of his career (when he was still relevant in the late 90's to early 2000's.)

They couldn't be anymore different stylistically and both guys have very entertaining styles. That might be one of the best H2H matchups to make in recent LHW history.

I remember reading a very interesting article a few years back.. It was a doctor explaining how taking punishment while being dehydrated can permanently effect a fighter's punch resistance.. That may have been the case in the first Tarver fight. Maybe not, but Roy's chin only seemed to get worse after that fight.

Not saying prime Roy had an iron chin or necessarily a solid one but I do believe it was much better before dropping back down from HW.

That said, it would be foolish to think a brutal puncher like Kovalev wouldn't have really hurt Roy if he connected clean with a big shot. I believe Roy would have had to hurt Kovalev early and fight a perfect fight to win.

    That's some serious trolling.

Somehow RJJ's inept skills got him wins over guys that would beat the shi.t outta' Kovalev.

You must be one superbad mofo to say RJJ's skills were inept. You better be Godzilla to talk shi.t like that.
